Airline sees strong bookings for its Singapore-Darwin flights
following launch of (Northern) Summer Sales

"Our Airbus A320 aircraft has a maximum capacity of 180 passengers and we are delighted to have a sell out crowd on the inaugural flight coming in from Darwin on Tuesday. This shows that many Australians want to visit Singapore and will take advantage of the affordable Tiger Airways fares to visit the Country. Since launching our 2006 (Northern) Summer sales earlier this week we have been getting very strong bookings for the Singapore-Darwin route on our new website www.tigerairways.com, "said Tiger Airways CEO, Tony Davis.

The Captain of the Tiger Airways Airbus A320 flying on the inaugural Singapore-Darwin flight is Captain Nick Johnson, an Australian National, who previously worked for Airnorth, a regional airline based in Australia's Northern Territory. Nick worked in Darwin for 4 ½ years flying Brasilia aircraft.
