Demonstration of items procuced from rattan and the preparation of Thai pasta (Khanom Jeen) from rice flour by the villagers of San Mahokfa Village, Village no. 7, Tambol Ton Pao.

Afternoon

Opening ceremony for the Bo Sang Umbrella Festival, together with a parade showing aspects of the past history of umbrella making and a demonstration of local culture and customs.

The historical parade will include a judging of the most beautiful umbrella float.

Evening

Singing contest (at the Bo Sang Umbrella Cooperative stage).

Exhibition of agricultural produce of Chiang Mai Province (in the area around the Praphat Center).

Painting exhibition (in the area of the Umbrella Festival ceremonial pavilion).

Observe a parade of vintage bicycles with beautiful maidens cycling while carrying umbrellas.

Cultural performance (at the Bo Sang Cooperative stage).

16:00 - 18:00

Observe a championship sports competition of Ta-Graw (in the area around the Umbrella Centre).

Evening

Enjoy a lantern parade to honor His Majesty the King (at the beginning of the village road).

20:30 - 22:30

Observe the Miss Umbrella Festival contest and the selection of the prettiest umbrella-carrying maiden on a bicycle.
